About your bird guide, Amanda Edworthy (they/them):
“Bird biologist, specializing in cavity nesting birds and endangered Tasmanian birds. And now a first-year medical student. I bird for work! For fun I listen to podcasts, lift weights, and sleep.”
This event is part of Vancouver Bird Week’s series of in-person bird walks for the LGBTQ+ community, women, birders of colour, Mandarin and Cantonese speakers, and youth. Due to Covid-19, this guided bird walk is capped at 6 participants and will follow social distancing guidelines. No worries if you don’t have binoculars! Sanitized binoculars will be available for use. Masks and other face coverings are encouraged.
