Fraser River Estuary Important Bird Area: Past, Present and Future

The Fraser River Delta Important Bird Area (IBA) is crucial to globally significant numbers of birds that rely on the delta for food and shelter. Despite of this IBA’s biodiversity value it is under immense development pressure from a myriad of factors as we increase our footprint on the land, so much so that it was recently designated as an IBA in Danger. What can be done to save this IBA? Can we live in harmony with the delta or will we continue to destroy it? What do we see as a future for this incredible jewel that we live around. Join Dr. Bradley for an exploration of these themes at the Van Dusen Gardens on Wednesday 10th May at 7:30pm.
